Welcome.
As you can tell from the title, my name is Jeff. I have always liked taking pictures. The problem is I am not very good at it. In June of 2008, my wife and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. We decided to buy ourselves a “nice” camera. We had used point and shoots up to this point and just took snapshots of the kids. Not having a lot of money, I decided to buy a Nikon D60. I figured this would be a good starter dslr. The camera arrived and we couldn’t take enough pictures with it. Then the newness wore off and it began to gather dust as we went back to using a point and shoot because it was more convenient.
A friend of ours, Mandy, recently bought a D60 and after seeing her pictures, I was inspired to dust off the D60 and finally learn how to use it. That is where this photoblog comes in. You see, Mandy decided to start a 365 photoblog. She shares a new picture each day for an entire year. I thought this was a great idea. This would force me to start using the camera more. So here is my attempt. I hope you enjoy and come back to visit.
